7 Games To Play During Lockdown To Clam Yourself || Video Games

I have played a lot of games. From old classics like Pac-man, Mario, or Legend of  Zelda games to modern marvels like Marvel's Spiderman, Last of Us Part 2, Metro Exodus, etc, I have enjoyed all of them.

And the one thing that they all have in common is the Reset option.
Anytime the things would not go my way I would hit the reset button and *Woosh* I could redo the whole level again.

The virtual environment was made so great that it all gave me a sense of control. Yes, the world is filled with ReDeads, but you can put a sword into a stone and go back to seven years ago. Yes, the moon is going to crash into the Earth in three days, but you can play a song and suddenly it’s day one.

The Real-World, unfortunately, does not have a reset button. You have to face all the hardships that this world throws at you. You can't rewind time or go back to the last checkpoint. But playing games that are calming - or just some general games - can give you a sense of control when everything is upside-down.

Because 2020 all about losing control. Right? Feeling the loss of control and the anxiety that comes with it. The feeling that anything could happen but there is nothing you could do about it, results in you playing games ( wordplay, Huh!) in your mind. These games are not fun - at all! This can lead to anxiety, depression, stress problems, and obviously control issues.

That is why Dr. Daramus says the reason is simple: unlike the messy variables of real life, if you do things correctly, you‘ll level up.

“You know if you do your part, you‘ll get rewarded,”
says Dr. Daramus “In world-building games like Animal Crossing, you can create an entire world just the way you want it. You can stay, leave, or blow it up and start again. You have total control. Nobody there can fire you or furlough you even though you did everything the way you were supposed to. [Games like] Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley are also calming because they’re more slow-paced.”

Below I have a list of some games that I find calming. These are my go-to games when I need to Reset.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons been the people's go-to game this lockdown. It is simply a joy and delight to play. Plus it allows you to socialize with your friends without the whole 'there's a virus outside' aspect. The cute cartoonish characters make it even more fun to play. Just make your island and go crazy.

Before you say that, ' Assassin's Creed is a violent game how will it calm me down'. You are right Assassin's Creed is a violent game but Origins has got something different, Discovery Mode. The discovery mode allows you to go on a quest of discovering Egypt. See the beautiful pyramids or rather climb on them in the beautifully crafted world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Everyone thought that Minecraft will die, it's not the game for today's kids. Oh boy! people were wrong Minecraft became the most popular game in 2019 and continues to be in 2020. You embark on a journey where you craft your items, build your house ( or a Mansion, whatever you like) in your own personal world. If you want to play with your friends join a server, build with them, have fun. The mobs can be somewhat intimidating but that's the fun, you reset every time you die. the game gives you all the chances to rebuild.

For more fun, you can add mods to the game.

6. Fishing Sim World
